Two studies conducted under Northern European or Middle Eastern conditions confirmed that 100 units of liquid MHA-FA could be replaced by 65 units DL-Met without compromising performance independent of e.g. choice of ingredients. A more comprehensive evaluation including 76 pairs of treatments provide evidence that not only MHA can be replaced by DL-Met in a 100:65 ratio with no risk, but also that this conclusion is valid for any general dietary Met+Cys supply status.
